NEW YORK, NY, May 2, 2008 - Thomson Reuters (NYSE: TRI; TSX: TRI; LSE: TRIL:

NASDAQ: TRIN), the world's leading source of intelligent information for

scientific, healthcare, and media markets, today announced the re-purchase of

500,000 Thomson Reuters PLC ordinary shares on May 2, 2008. The average price

paid was 1586.95 pence per share. The highest price per share paid was 1620

pence and the lowest price per share paid was 1517 pence.

As of May 2, 2008, Thomson Reuters PLC had 193,453,110 ordinary shares

outstanding. The re-purchased shares of Thomson Reuters PLC will be cancelled.
