NEW YORK, NY, April 23, 2008 - Thomson Reuters (NYSE: TRI; TSX: TRI; LSE: TRIL:

NASDAQ: TRIN), the world's leading source of intelligent information for

scientific, healthcare, and media markets, today announced the re-purchase of

308,000 Thomson Reuters PLC ordinary shares on April 23, 2008. The average price

paid was 1555.696 pence per share. The highest price per share paid was 1563

pence and the lowest price per share paid was 1550 pence.

As of April 23, 2008, Thomson Reuters PLC had 194,107,278 ordinary shares

outstanding. The re-purchased shares of Thomson Reuters PLC will be cancelled.
